メールしたら返事は来るのか!?

　昨年夏より行っておりました投票、「シカゴ＆アースにジョイントしてほしい曲は何ですか？」は、多くの方々に投票していただき、3月末をもって終了致しました。多くの熱いメッセージも添えて下さり、本当にありがとうございました。

　しかし、ただの内輪の楽しみだけにしておくのは勿体ない・・・、というか、何かしら日本の反応を本国へ伝えた方がよいのでは・・・、と考え、当初から「だめもとで投票結果をオフィシャルサイトへメールする」と宣言しておりました。そしてその宣言通り、投票の結果をだめもとでオフィシャルサイトへメールするために、簡単なご挨拶を含めて英訳を致しました！　果たしてどうなるでしょうか！？

Dear Earth, Wind & Fire (or Chicago),


My name is Atsushi. I'm a Japanese fan of EWF. Autographs I once got from Philip, Ralph and Gary is very precious to me.

And I like Chicago, too. So the news that Chicago & EWF coheadlined a tour in 2004 excited me so much, but I had to wait to watch the mighty-mighty show on DVD until 2005. Certainly it deeply impressed every Japanese fan of Chicago & EWF, and we began to hope the joint tour in Japan.

I thought it was important for Japanese EWF fans to make friendships with Chicago fans first of all, so I planned a vote : "What is the best tune Chicago & EWF newly perform? (excluding tunes has already been performed together in 2004)" - URL : http://acchan27.hp.infoseek.co.jp/chiewf/tohyo.htm

Many Japanese fans of Chicago & EWF had voted from last summer to the end of March, and they were able to make friendships. One of my wishes has come true. I thank Chicago & EWF for giving the opportunity and tell the result of the vote, with our hope - the next great tour in Japan.

Of course, we look forward to play new songs, too. In fact, many Chicago fans enjoyed the latest Japan tour of EWF -many new songs was performed-, and many EWF fans bought the great brandnew album "Chicago XXX". Even if either visit to Japan, we will enjoy the show very much. We will always support you.
